Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to our new class page! We are looking forward to a fabulous, fun filled remainder of the Autumn term. Below, you will find information about homework and routines, our class timetables, the year group curriculum letter, and our class assembly dates. There are also links to helpful resources and websites.
Homework & Routines
Spelling Homework will be set on Monday and should be completed by the following Friday. Homework will include spelling, Maths activities and daily reading.
Reading at home is very valuable, and we encourage children to read regularly as part of their homework. Around 10 to 20 minutes each evening is recommended. However, please do not read the class texts on which their learning journeys are based on at home. We will enjoy reading them with the children in school. Thank you.
These are our homework expectations:
- Reading a levelled book daily (10-20 minutes every day).
- Spelling homework is to be completed each week.
- Maths homework to be completed each week.
Things to remember:
Children should come to school in PE kits on their PE days. Year 2 have their PE on:
Tuesday
PE kit should include dark tracksuit joggers or shorts, house T-shirt, and trainers.
