Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Year 4! We hope you had a lovely summer holiday and are looking forward to an exciting new school year ahead.
On this page, you will find key information about homework, daily routines, class timetables, curriculum updates, and assembly dates, as well as links to helpful learning resources.
Homework & Routines
Homework will be set on Thursday and should be completed by the following Wednesday. This will include spelling homework on EdShed, times tables practice on TT Rockstars, MyMaths and daily reading.
Reading at home is incredibly valuable, and we strongly encourage children to read regularly as part of their homework. Around 15-20 minutes each evening is recommended. However, please do not read the class texts on which their learning journeys are based at home. We will enjoy reading these with the children in school. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
These are our homework expectations:

Reading daily (15 -20 minutes every day).

Spellings are to be learnt and will be tested once a week.

MyMaths homework following the Year 4 Maths curriculum.

Times Table Rockstars at least once a week.

Please ensure that your child brings their Reading Record into school, with a comment, each day.
Things to remember:
Children should come to school in their PE kits on their PE days. Year 4 have their PE on:

Monday is outdoor PE

Friday is indoor PE
PE kit should include a dark tracksuit, joggers or shorts, a white T-shirt, and trainers.
